UK Day Wednesday and more!

Important Dates:

11/14 (Wednesday) – U.K. Day

We have done a great job as a whole class following our school rules and filled up our “Warm & Fuzzy” Jar and we voted to have a U.K. Day to celebrate! Please send your child to school in BLUE and/or WHITE on this day!

11/21-23 (Wednesday-Friday) – No School

Literacy:

Beginning Sounds
Ending Sounds
Medial Vowel Sounds (a, e, I, o, u)
CVC Words (3 letter words)
Sight Words: a, and, am, at, can, go, I, is, it, here, like, little, me, my, see, the, to, you
Please make sure to never have your child use sounds to read sight words, sight words usually do not follow language rules. The 1st sound can be a clue, but not the entire word.

Writing:

Labeling pictures with beginning sounds
Stretching out words verbally to write the sounds

Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Packet

In the event of a Snow Day, where students do not attend school, students are to complete work at home.

This work was sent home yesterday in your child’s folder. It consists of a Packet of Snow Day Work. Please keep this work in the back pocket of your child’s folder so it does not get lost.
