About Mrs. Candy...       About Ms. Lindle...

Hi! My name is Mrs. Candy! I am your Kindergarten Instructional Paraeducator.

I am from Lexington, Kentucky. I have been married to my husband Scott for 19 years and we have 2 beautiful children.

My son Easton is 16 and in the 10th grade and my daughter Nina is 13 and starting 8th grade this year.  We also have a feisty little dog named Mocha that keeps us on our toes!

I have always had a heart for children; I worked at the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital in the pediatric pharmacy for 5 years before having children of my own.  I taught Preschool at Southland Christian Church for 7 years before coming to JELV 7 years ago.

I love spending time with my family and cheering on my son while he plays baseball!

Hi! My name is Ms. Lindle! I am SO excited to be a part of the kindergarten team at the Jessamine Early Learning Village! Mrs. Candy and I are THRILLED to be your teachers! It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I want to know ALL about you, but first Mrs. Candy and I are going to tell you a few things about us.

I have moved around the country, but I have lived the majority of my life in Lexington, Kentucky. I am the oldest child, I have 1 brother. I LOVE him, he is an awesome brother! I have 2 dogs, Knowledge and Mowgli. Can you tell I am an animal lover? I love pit bulls and am a huge advocate for bully breed dogs. When I graduated from high school, I attended the University of Kentucky, GO CATS! I majored in Early Elementary Education. I completed my Master’s Degree in Art Education and Literacy from the University of Kentucky in December 2014. I am a huge Wildcats fan! I am a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Childhood Literacy. My 1st year of teaching, I taught 1st grade. I now teach kindergarten and this is my 10th year of teaching. I LOVE teaching kindergarten because I know where you will need to be to enter 1st grade. Having experience in kindergarten and 1st grade will really help me to challenge you to reach for the stars this year!

y name is Rachel Lindle. I love my job and feel extremely blessed to work in Kindergarten! I value the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of my kindergarteners. I believe that college begins with kindergarten! Students begin their school career in kindergarten, it is the foundation and shapes the rest of their academic career, from the core academics and curriculum to student's self-esteem and attitudes about school.

About Mrs. Stacy, Mrs. S, & Mrs. G...

Other teachers that will be in our classroom are Mrs. Stacy, Mrs. S, and Mrs. G

Stacy Greene is our Speech/Language Pathologist. If your child received speech services in preschool at JELV, they will work with Mrs. Stacy. The other children in our classroom will not receive services from her, but will know her from her daily visits to provide speech for some children in our classroom.

Amanda Schwind, who your child may refer to as Mrs. S, is our classroom English Language Teacher. Mrs. S will be in our room daily and work with some students who are learning English. Again, Mrs. S. only provides services for English Language Learners in our classroom, but your child might mention her as she is also in our classroom often. Sometimes she will read the entire class a story or help with fun activities.

We will also have a special education teacher who will come in and work with certain students in our classroom, Bethany Gabbard. We call her Mrs. G. Mrs. G is our Special Education Teacher. If your child received special education services in preschool at JELV, they will work with Mrs. G. The other children in our classroom will not receive services from her, but will know her from her daily visits to provide services for some children in our class. Mrs. G also has a teaching assistant that comes to help her when she is occupied in other classrooms providing services for students in our Dark Blue Pod. Her name is Sandy Gibbs. She will also be in and of our classroom to help these students.
