Snow Day #1 (Thursday 1/5)
Today, Thursday (1/5,) is Snow Day #1.
In November, we placed the Snow Day Packet and Red Journal in the second plastic sleeve in your child's T.I.G.E.R. Folder.
Our district is participating in Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days. This simply means that your child needs to complete work in order for this day to not have to be made up and added on to the end of the school year.
Therefore, it is VERY important that your child complete Snow Day #1, the first page in your Snow Day Packet.
The Red "NTI" Journal only needs to be used if the activity you choose requires it, such as if you choose to play on Lexia, there is no need to use the journal. If you choose a writing activity, please put it in the journal.
If you have misplaced your Snow Packet and/or NTI Journal, do not fear, you can download them and print them off at home from the following link...
Lexia, Dreambox and Starfall are also linked to this page if you need to be able to find it online.
If you are in a situation where you cannot print off the snow day work, please use whatever paper you have available and write down your selections after viewing the Snow Day #1 online, This can count as your snow day work. Please remember to attach any work, such as writing or otherwise that your child has worked on to be counted.
The Kentucky Department of Education will be checking schools who have chosen to complete the Non-Traditional Instruction model to make sure students are completing the work. It is very important to turn any any work your child has done on our Snow Day #1 for it to be reviewed by the Kentucky Department of Education.
Again, I will be available all day for you if you have any questions or concerns.

(If you have not been added as a member, please request to do so, I am able to add you quickly and it is very easy to do. We do not have to be "Facebook Friends" for us to be in a group on Facebook together. As our district policy requires, I am not allowed to be friends with you on Facebook, this is strictly for our classroom use and to be able to check in on what is happening in our classroom.)
