Mrs. Candy & I are looking forward to working with your child this year!
Thank you for all the school supplies that have been sent in this week!
Week in Review:
Wednesday/Thursday
We had a great first day of kindergarten. We read the story, "The Kissing Hand", talked about how we felt on the first day of school and went on scavenger hunt around the school looking for Chester the raccoon. Ask your child what kind of “kiss” Chester left for us.
Below is a YouTube Video of the story we read, "The Kissing Hand" if you are interested in it:

Reminders:
If you send your child with breakfast and lunch, please place the breakfast and lunch in separate, labeled containers.
It will help your child differentiate between their breakfast and lunch as well as any confusion about whose food is in the container.
The container can be a Kroger bag or a paper bag; it does not have to be a separate lunch box.
Label it with your child’s name.
Please put breakfast or lunch money in the zipper pouch of your child’s T.I.G.E.R. Folder.
Please put breakfast/lunch money in the zipper pouch and do not have your child place it in their pockets.
The money may get lost or the child may not remember to give it to us or what it is for.
This will eliminate any confusion, lost money or unexpected cafeteria charges.
You can also place any type of note in the zipper pouch in your child’s T.I.G.E.R. Folder.
It could be a note for transportation, absence, doctor, dentist and so on.
Please send in an extra set of clothes for your child, just in the case of an accident, if you have not sent in extra clothes already.
Please initial your child’s behavior calendar inside of their T.I.G.E.R. Folder every night.
When you initial it, please take a few moments to talk about your child’s day together. Thank you for doing this at home! It helps at school when your child knows that you will discuss their day with them.
Remember that it will only be colored in of your child was on any color other than green. If the calendar is left blank, it means your child had a great day on green!
If your child was on green, blue or purple remember to celebrate a great day!
It could be their favorite dinner or dessert, a trip to the park, a movie night, a family game night, getting to visit a nearby family member, or any other reward you think your child would enjoy!
