MAP Testing, Family Fun Night and a Field Trip Next Week!
Important Dates:
May 2 (Monday)
MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) Testing
We will be testing your child’s reading skills in the computer lab.
Please make sure you discuss how important it is to “try your best” so we can get accurate scores to send to 1st Grade Teachers and families too!
May 3 (Tuesday)
Book Fair
If you would like to send in money to get your child a book, we will be visiting the book fair during specials class in library.
A book fair flyer was sent home in your child’s folder to help you choose a book and know the cost.
May 5 (Thursday)
Family Fun Night @ JELV 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
This Family Fun Night will focus on the transition to 1st Grade for Kindergartens, you will get to meet 1st Grade Teachers and Staff from each elementary school!
May 6 (Friday)
Salato Field Trip
Please send your child to school in tennis shoes on this day. We will be doing a lot of walking.
May 12 (Friday)
Healthy Day Out
During our specials classes from 11:50-12:40, we will be going to the track to promote health and keeping our bodies strong by walking together. Please feel free to join in on this day, just make sure to sign in at the Office first.
May 16 (Monday)
Transition to 1st Grade Visit
To help students transition to 1st Grade at a new school. Teachers from JELV will take your child to visit their 1st Grade school for a portion of this day. Permission Slips will be sent home soon and information about specifics. Please feel free to contact us or the front office if you have any questions.
May 18 (Wednesday)
End of Year Celebration (LUAU)
We had to change our end of the year celebration, which will be LUAU themed from Friday, May 20th to Wednesday, May 18th. Please make note of this, if you would like to attend. We will have classroom awards and play fun, luau-themed games at 1:00 in our classroom.
May 19 (Thursday)
GAMES Day
GAMES Day is similar to a field day. We will wear our classroom tie-dyed tee shirts on this day and will be playing fun activities outside. More information to come!
May 20 (Friday)
Last Day of Kindergarten
This will be the last day of school for students in Jessamine County, it is a half-day.

Spring Pictures were sent home in your child’s folder. Please check on the pink paper whether you choose to purchase or return the pictures without purchasing the pictures.
Checks or money orders are to be made out to STRAWBRIDGE STUDIOS, INC.
Please turn in payments and any NON-purchase pictures by Wednesday, 5-20.
