The LAST Week of School! Our Luau and Early Release Day...
I cannot even believe that the title of this new announcement is the last week of school! It seems such a short time ago it was Open House and Mrs. Candy & I got to meet you all and your precious Kindergarteners! In a short 2 days, they will be 1st Graders!

Mrs. Candy & I cannot say THANK YOU enough to our wonderful families this year. We have enjoyed having your children in Kindergarten and will miss them immensely! Please feel free to come and visit us! You will know where to find us in the Green Pod, Room CO2! Also, if you ever need anything, we are always here for you and your children! Have a wonderful summer and enjoy these precious moments with your family!
Summer Homework
We have made copies of Summer Homework that will be sent home in your child’s T.I.G.E.R. Folder. Please continue to work with your child over the summer. A daily refresher does not have to be long, but will keep your child from regressing academically over the summer. Another option is to utilize the programs Lexia and Dreambox.
Lexia & Dreambox
Kindergarten students transitioning to first grade are encouraged to use Lexia and Dreambox over the summer. Their username and password will remain the same as it was during their kindergarten school year. Keep up the good work!

Important Dates and Reminders
May 25th- No School (Memorial Day)
May 26th- Luau at 1:30 p.m. in the classroom
We will hand out awards to students and celebrate!
Please send your child to school in Luau- themed attire to make our celebration fun! You do not have to buy anything, but if you are interested, be on the look out for “Luau themed” attire for your child, such as, leis, grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts! (Usually you can find these items at the Dollar Tree for $1.)
We need of several beach towels to borrow for “Musical Beach Towels” If you are able to send one in on this day, we will return it that afternoon!
May 27th- Last Day of School/Early Dismissal
Students will be dismissed at 10:45 a.m.
Please let us know if your child will be going home a different way on this day, if no action is taken, then your child will be sent home as usual.
Specials Schedule
Monday: No School
Tuesday: Music
Wednesday: Early Dismissal at 10:45 a.m. (No Specials since ours are scheduled at 12:05 p.m.)
