Important Dates & Reminders:

Read Across America Week!

***Encourage your child to dress up and attend school each day! Each day your child is present at school s/he will be entered into a drawing to win prizes!

Classes with perfect attendance earn popcorn party!

March 2nd (Monday)

  • It’s “Wear Any Kind of Hat”

    • A sombrero, baseball cap, or even a beret…

March 3rd (Tuesday)

  • It’s GREEN Day!

    • Wear as much GREEN as you can to celebrate Sam and his love for “Green Eggs and Ham!”

March 4th (Wednesday)

  • Wear your wackiest outfits and hair today!

    • Wacky clothes and wacky hair, wacky things will be everywhere!

March 5th (Thursday)

  • It’s Sock Day!

    • Multi-colored socks, one red sock‘n one blue, any fun socks will do!

March 6th (Friday)

  • It’s PJ Day!

    • For a sleepover, slumber party, or even to bed, come to school in your pajamas instead!

March 19th (Thursday)

  • Kindergarten Music Concert @ JELV

    • More information to come! Save the date!

    • The concert will take place in the evening, the specific times will be sent home as soon as we receive them.

March 20th (Friday)

  • This was originally a day off of school for Kentucky Education Association (KEA) Day, the district has decided SCHOOL WILL BE IN SESSION on this day.

  • Thank you for sending your child to school dressed in BLUE on Wednesday for the Dance Blue event in the Gym! The kids had tons of fun dancing and raising money for Pediatric Cancer J

  • I am in need of volunteers to help make Easter Baskets for our Easter Egg Hunt in a few weeks. If you can help, please let me know!

  • We will be continuing to learn about Abraham Lincoln. We will be completing a research project over facts we have learned about Lincoln. If you have any books, pictures, or items about Lincoln, we would love to see them!

  • Please send in February homework on Monday. I will send March homework home on Monday as well.

  • Next week we will be using goldfish to help us subtract.

  • If you are able to donate some goldfish crackers to our classroom, it would be greatly appreciated!

  • Empty Gallon Milk Jugs

(We will be making Easter baskets with these!)
